AN ELDERLY couple have been left homeless after a fire ripped through their Hadleigh home.
The couple, who were not hurt, were rescued by firefighters from their home in Poors Lane North.
Crews from Hadleigh, Rayleigh, Leigh, Hawkwell and the aerial ladder platform from Southend were called in to tackle the blaze.
The fire broke out at 3.45am on Sunday morning and was put out by 7am.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
