A MEMORIAL service will celebrate the life of a well-known Brentwood businessman.

The service for Alan Cherry, founder and chairman of Countryside Properties, will be held at Chelmsford Cathedral next month.

Mr Cherry died aged 76 following a battle with cancer.

The service will be held on Thursday, March 18, at 2.30pm. It will be conducted by the Bishop of Bradwell, the Rt Revd Dr Laurie Green.
