A DROP in clinic is being run in Brentwood so young women can get vaccinated against cervical cancer.
Girls aged between 12 and 18 are being encouraged to come to the clinic, in Brentwood Community Hospital, Crescent Drive, to get the HPV vaccination.
The clinics are being held on Tuesday, March 30, from 3pm until 7pm, and on Thursday, April 1, at the same time.
Around 1,000 women die from cervical cancer every year.
The HPV vaccine, which is given in three doses, protects against the human papillomavirus, which causes 70 per cent of the cases of cervical cancer.
