A MAN and teenager accused of possessing a firearm in a public place have appeared in court.
Shane Deeks and a 17-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are alleged to have been caught with the BB gun in Danes Way, in Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood, on August 9 this year.
Deeks, 23, of Hatch Road, Pilgrims Hatch, and the girl, who is also from Brentwood, faced a charge of possessing an imitation firearm when they appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court.
They did not enter a plea to the charge and were released on unconditional bail.
The pair will return to the court on September 20.
