A SINGER who rose to fame on X-Factor has been added to the star studded line up set to perform at Chelmsford's Hylands Park.
Joining Essex's finest, Olly Murs and Pixie Lott, on September 2 will be Diana Vickers.
Vickers, who hails from Bolton, was a star of the 2008 series of X Factor and reached the semi-finals mentored by Cheryl Cole.
Securing a record deal with RCA in 2009, her first single and album were delayed after she landed the lead role in the West End production, the Rise and Fall of Little Voice, for which she won the Theatregoers’ Choice Award for London Newcomer of the Year.
Her debut single, Once, hit the number one spot in the UK Singles Chart in April 2010, selling over 200,000 copies, and her debut album, Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree, topped the UK album chart the following month Vickers' second album is due out later this year Dion Clements, concert spokesman, said "Adding Diana to the line-up only adds yet more value to this event for pop fans, we really pleased to have her performing at the Hylands Park concert, along with Olly and Pixie."
