A SOLDIER will travel to the US as part of an exchange visit to learn how the military works there.
Corporal Tracey Ferguson, currently serving with 124 Petroleum Squadron at the TA Centre, in Warley, will soon be heading off to the US as part of an exchange visit.
The aim of the exchange is for participants to gain practical experience and an insight into the Armed Forces of the other country and to pass on similar experience and insight.
Tracey will be based at Plymouth, in Maine, for two weeks. At the same time, a soldier from the US Army Reserves will fly to the UK to join the TA.
Mum-of-two Tracey, who works part time as an Army recruiter, said: “Such interchange plays an important part in developing the armies’ close understanding of each other, which is essential to enable them to operate together as effective coalition partners.”
