Council seeks gambling opinions

VIEWS are being sought as Brentwood Council looks to outline its policies on gambling.

It is asking for residents’ views.

The authority has already decided it will not allow a casino to be built in the borough.

The main changes suggested are a difference in both the number of gambling machines that are allowed on certain premises and their payout. The consultation will run until October 24.

The council will make its final decision on the policy at the end of the year.

A copy of the draft policy is available to view on the council’s website. Contact the licensing team at licensing@brentwood.gov.uk
