Free family fun in the park
7:00am Friday 3rd August 2012 in News
The family fun day at King George's
FREE family entertainment proved a big draw at a Brentwood park.
Brentwood Council is running six family fun days throughout the summer holidays and the first attracted scores of families.
Every Friday King George’s Park is hosting everything from bouncy castles and face painting to themed games and environmental days.
The events run from 11am until 3pm.
Mark Reed, chairman of the council's retail, community and culture panel, said: “The first fun day went so well, I look forward to great fun days throughout the summer.
“There are all sorts of activities to come, including urban games.
“I went along at the end of the afternoon and all the participants told me the turn-out was even greater than hoped for.”
