Salon gets V Festival spot
7:00am Monday 13th August 2012 in News
STAFF from a men’s grooming salon will be styling and pampering celebrities at this year’s V Festival.
Menace Male Grooming has been chosen to work backstage at the spectacular at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, this month.
Staff from the Shenfield salon will have a shop backstage at the festival and offer haircuts, wet shaves and more to celebrities over the two days with all proceeds going to charity.
Menace opened its doors five years ago, as the first male grooming salon in Essex.
Owner Matthew Norris has twice been named the Essex Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the salon is a regular backdrop for the scenes in TOWIE.
Mr Norris said: “Who knows who we might get in our chairs? There are some big names there so it will be very exciting. “We have built up a solid celebrity following in our salon already, but it will be great to do what we do, in their environment.
“Male grooming salons have been popular in London for years and the male grooming industry has been growing steadily, but I still knew it was a risk opening the first one in Essex.
“However, men in Essex have embraced the concept and I am thrilled to be representing male grooming at the V festival.”
