Natalie's case outlined in Dubai court

A FAMILY who want a hotel to admit responsibility for a freak accident have had their case outlined in court.

Natalie Creane, 33, who grew up in Brentwood, was too ill to attend the court hearing in Dubai last Thursday, but her father, Derick, and husband, Trevor, accompanied lawyers.

The family are fighting to win compensation from the plush Emirates Palace Hotel, in Abu Dhabi, after an accident in 2008 which left Natalie needing four years of medical treatment.

The family claim a panel at the top of a wardrobe in the hotel fell on her head, which led to Natalie suffering a brain injury.

Last week the Weekly News reported Natalie was desperately in need of costly treatment in America.

The next hearing in the case will be held on September 6.

Natalie’s supporters, who exchange messages at www.facebook/justicefornatalie are organising a half marathon in Abu Dhabi on November 9 to raise awareness of her case.
