Council staff clean up town centre
7:00am Friday 7th September 2012 in News
COUNCIL staff got their grabbers and black bin bags out to help clean up the High Street in Brentwood on Friday, August 31.
Officers from Brentwood Council, including leader Louise McKinlay, walked up and down the busy street during the day to pick up any litter they saw on the floor.
Other litter picking events where held at King George’s Playing Fields and Warley Country Park, with a further one planned at Hopefield Animal Sanctuary this week.
Mrs McKinlay said: “It’s great to see council staff not just working hard in their day jobs, but also volunteering.”
