Elizabeth Way in Somercotes, Laindon

Elizabeth way in Five Links would be a more accurate description as Elizabeth Way and Somercotes are opposite each and are separate roads. Another epic fail from a 'local' newspaper when it comes to local geography. I suggest that the Echo ask their staff to use one pf the many online map sites to check this sort of thing before going to 'press'

Get the details of the dog posted to www.doglost.co.uk

This will alert numerous local people about the missing dog so they will keep a look out. The site will also give you lots of avice as to how to go about getting your dog back.

There is a chance that the scum who have stolen the dog are only actually interested in monetary gain, so will possibly make contact to try and get you to part with money in order to get your dog back.

I wish you the best of luck.

I think the dog may actually be registered on Dog Lost, now I have checked, but there is very little information about him, and no photo, which is going to make finding him very difficult.
Get as much info on there as you can, there are plenty of people in the area that will help you find your dog.

If this was the first time this had happened then no.

But the Echo once reported that the A127 had a junction with Chester Hall Lane - where their offices are located, rather than South Mayne...

local newspapers should really know the area - or at least use a map. Anyone knows Somercotes is a street, not the estate.

Yes I was being facetious, I found it very uncaring to be more concerned about a mistake on a road name rather than a familys puppy being lost which is what the story is actually about

This dog was not actually stolen, and was picked up by Basildon Council who had the dog in kennels and were trying to contact the owners. Eventually the owners got back in touch with the kennels and the dog was reunited.
