THE girlfriend of star gymnast Max Whitlock is head over heels with pride at seeing him clinch the bronze medal at the Olympics.
Leah Hickton, 20, from Basildon, spoke to the Echo yesterday, just 24 hours after watching Max help Team GB onto the podium in the men’s team contest at the
North Greenwich Arena in London.
Leah, who has been with Max for five years, says he deserves all the attention he is getting.
She said: “It hasn’t quite sunk in yet. The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was going crazy.
