RISQUE dance moves will be flaunted on the Civic Theatre stage in April - with audience members being encouraged to get in on the act!

An Evening of Burlesque will be coming to the Fairfield Road venue on Friday April 4 with their production full of sexy dancing set to tease people’s senses.

Wearing high heels, stockings and corsets, the performers will prance around on stage with their seductive stripteases.

Show producer Michael Taylor the evening is all about fun and confidence rather than a chance to oggle at nearly nude ladies.

Mr Taylor said: “It’s all tease, no sleaze with the show combining musical and theatrical parody, cutting-edge variety, magic, comedy and dance with the art of striptease.

“Nothing is lost in translation as the sparkling glamour, physical humour and a dynamic score are appreciated in any language.”

Along with the girls on stage, members of the audience are encouraged to dress down for the night as they enjoy the fun.

With this in mind, the show’s producers have set up a competition on the night for the best dressed theatregoer.

“The show is an opportunity to forget about all your troubles for an evening and enjoy the thrills and spills of modern-day burlesque,” Mr Taylor said.

“Theatregoers completely immerse themselves in the evening’s entertainment.

“As a consequence, the atmosphere at theatres is absolutely electric and we would like to reward the most glamorously-dressed person with a prize they’ll treasure forever.”

The show is for over 18s only with tickets costing £23.50 for adults and £21.50 for concessions.
