AN “AGGRESSIVE” motorist swore and drove at another car driver along a dual carriageway in Great Leighs.

On Friday March 21, a female in her 40s from Braintree was driving along the A131 at some time between 4pm and 4.30pm in her black-coloured Ford Escort.

Suddenly a man in a red Ford KA drove at her even trying to force her off the road by pulling up alongside the car and swerving towards it.

The man then slung abuse at the victim before getting infront of the car and slowing his own vehicle down in the fast lane, causing tail backs.

Investigating officer Pc Melanie Warren said the incident left the victim “absolutely terrified”.

Pc Warren said: “He was shouting and swearing at the female and tried to force her off the road by swerving towards the side of her vehicle.

"He then pulled in front of her and swerved from side to side aggressively whilst braking hard and forced her to reduce her speed to 35 mph on a fast road in the fast lane.”

The driver is described as white, in his early 20s with short hair and a thin face.

Anyone with information should contact Pc Warren at the Chelmsford road policing unit on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
