FOUR bikes have been stolen from a house in Chelmsford.
The bikes were taken from a property on Camborne Close between midnight and 8am on Friday, July 4.
Thieves broke into the house via the rear patio door and made a tidy search before taking the bikes.
The stolen items include a brown, 17-and-a half-inch frame Cotic Simple mountain bike with Nuke Proof black carbon forks and disc brakes; a white, 16-inch frame Sanderson Soloist mountain bike with Shimano black carbon forks and disc brakes; a blue 16-inch frame Genesis High Latitude mountain bike with white Rockshox forks with disc brakes and 29-inch wheels; and a blue On-One Pompino road bike, with brown metallic forks and SRAM V brakes.
It is likely the thieves would have needed a van or similar vehicle to transport the bikes.
Police would like to hear from anyone with information, or anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
They can call DC Ray Hull at Chelmsford CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
