FOLLOWING its summer break, The Comedy Club returns to Chelmsford City FC later this month with hilarious acts from the British circuit.

Comics from TV and radio will feature on the night in a line-up that so far includes Joe Rowntree, Markus Birdman and headliner Gerry K.

Gerry is a regular performer all over the UK and abroad at the Comedy Club, Jongleurs and The Comedy Store.

Rowntree, who recently starred on Dave’s One Night Stand, will host the night. He began his career writing put downs for Anne Robinson on the Weakest Link, and has since gone on to record the successful satellite TV showas well as feature on Sky One’s Brainiac.

Markus Birdman took his solo show to the world famous Edinburgh Fringe in 2004 and hasn’t looked back since. His claim to fame is being the “voice of ITV’s blank screen.”

The show takes place at the Melbourne Stadium on Friday, September 26. Tickets are £14 and are available by calling the box office on 02033 761112, or by visiting www.thecomedyclub.co.uk
