ORGANISERS of the first Chelmsford marathon have revealed road closure plans.
The event takes place on Sunday, October 19, and will take runners from Central Park, through Admirals Park, Bellmead Park, Tower Gardens, Writtle and picturesque Hylands Park.
It is necessary for organisers to close some roads and this has been agreed with Essex Highways.
Bridge Street, Paradise Road, St John’s Green, St John’s Road, Guy’s Farm, Lawford Lane and Melba Court will be affected by closures between 9am and 5pm.
Full diversion signs will be in place.
Buses will follow a diverted route accessing the village centre via Lodge Road.
Residents have been informed via leaflets and a public meeting.
