POP princess Pixie Lott performed at the open day for her family's new stage school.

The star, who grew up in Brentwood, was at The Boswells School in Chelmsford all day as youngsters signed up to the Italia Conti associate school that she is setting up with her sister Charlie-Ann and mum Beverley.

Children and their parents were queuing up outside the school before it opened its doors at 10am.

Before that, she was put through her paces in workshops showing what the new theatre school will be all about when it starts at the Chelmsford secondary school in January.
