A group of angels brought some Christmas joy to a children's charity.
The J's Hospice received a visit from The Heart Angels, who brought a number of bags and parcels carrying generous donations and presents for the charity's patients and their young children.
Freeport Braintree, in association with Heart FM, developed the very first Giving Tree campaign for 2014 - offering shoppers the chance to make their generosity go a little bit further by donating a gift to someone who might not otherwise receive one, or get to enjoy the season in the same way as the rest of us.
Benefitting seven Essex-based charities, the campaign brought some of the spirit of Christmas to Freeport - while shoppers were picking up presents for their family and friends, they were gently encouraged to pick up a gift for an adult or child who might not get the family Christmas they enjoy.
A huge success, the campaign enables The J's to bring gifts to our patients and their young children, bringing a little bit of brightness to their holiday season.
