RUNNERS clear your diaries – the Chelmsford Marathon is back!
Following the success of last year’s inaugural run, the J’s Hospice has announced this year’s event will take place on Sunday, October 18, with a new and improved route, which sees runners set off from the Shire Hall and continue down the High Street.
Last year, thousands cheered on more than 1,000 participants, who raised £100,000 for the hospice, which provides extensive at-home care and support for young adults aged 16-40 with lifelimiting conditions across the whole county.
Stuart Hornsby, chief executive at the J’s Hospice, said: “We were overwhelmed with the popularity of our first marathon, and we couldn’t ignore the demand and the opportunity to host another one this year.”
Registrations for the run are open now at www.chelmsford marathon.org.uk
