Passengers get taste of Essex gold
PASSENGERS aboard the new P&O cruise ship Britannia have been enjoying a Chelmsford beer while the y sail the seas.
The ship, which can carry more than 4,300 passengers, features a classic pub on board housing 70 British beers, including Brewers Gold, from the Crouch Vale Brewery .
P&O said the beer had proved one of the most popular on the ship’s maiden voyage last month, which took in France, Spain and Italy .
The 330m-long vessel wa s named last month to much fanfare by the Queen in her home port of Southampton.
