A CAKE decorator who turned her life around and lost more than three stone is helping others do the same.
Amanda Macleod, 46, of St Michaels Drive, Chelmsford, decided to take control of her weight issues after dreading having to host a party for her friends in Chelmsford.
Knowing that, as a cake decorator, it would be a challenge to do alone, she joined her local Slimming World club in 2013 and within two weeks had lost seven pounds.
By April 2014, she had lost two stone and was even more delighted when she managed to run a 10km obstacle course.
Now, three-and-a-half stone lighter, she is a Slimming World consultant and has launched a group at the Writtle Community Association, in Longmeads House, Redwood Drive, every Wednesday at 5pm and 7pm.
