An entrepreneur has launched her brand at Hylands House.

Nikki Da Costa-Smith revealed her Margie & Doll stylist experience and fashion boutique at Hylands House after being inspired by her Nanny Margie and Auntie Doll.

It was Margie’s belief that every occasion is worth dressing up for that fuelled Nikki’s passion for fashion.

Margie and Doll's love for fashion was so strong with both women’s clothing collections being their pride and joy even during the hardest times of WWII.

Family legend has it that during this war, Doll had “borrowed” Margie’s new shoes without permission for a party.

As the night came to an end, the sirens sounded and as Doll hurried to the local underground station she accidentally caught the heel of one of the illicit shoes and it broke.

Doll was more afraid to tell Margie that she’d ruined her beautiful shoes than she was of the bombing raids and it is this extreme love of fashion that Nikki wanted to shine through at Margie & Doll.

Nikki’s Margie & Doll journey started whilst working in a high end boutique and Nikki began to wonder “Why shouldn’t everyone have the same experience when they go shopping?”.

After speaking with friends and family, everybody felt the same and that they would love to wear something different however wouldn’t pay the prices of those items found in exclusive independent boutiques.

As a true fashion enthusiast, this inspired Nikki to create Margie & Doll, so that everyone can buy beautiful clothes and accessories coupled with the luxury of receiving fashion advice and style tips all in the comfort of their own home.

As a great believer that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to look good Nikki wanted to keep all of her items at an affordable price so that they are accessible to everybody.

Nikki went to work researching individual brands that could be available at high street prices for her customers. Nikki is stocking a variety of brands including Traffic People, Pink Flame, Charlise and Rinascimento, turning shopping into a social and fun occasion.

Nikki said: “I’m delighted to be launching Margie & Doll and I have every confidence that it’ll be successful.

"What could be better than shopping the latest trends whilst surrounded by friends and a bottle of wine in the comfort of your own home?

"Margie & Doll loved to party so I know that by combining two of their favourite things they’d of been very happy ladies!

"I can’t wait to bring style to women and help them to make excellent fashion choices at high-street prices."
