Police are asking the public to help them track down a meat thief who made off with over £70 of lamb and beef from Marks and Spencers.

The meat was stolen from Marks and Spencer in High Street, Chelmsford, on Tuesday June 2 at about 12pm.

Police are looking to identify the man in this CCTV image in connection with the theft.

About £77 worth of meat including lamb joints and sirloin steaks were taken without any attempt to pay.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pc Alan Conran at Chelmsford police station on 101.
