PARENTS have been urged to be vigilant after a man wa s spotted taking photographs outside their children’s school.
A letter was sent to parents of children at Springfield Primary School, in Forsythia Close, Springfield, after a parent reported seeing a man standing outside the school, taking photos of their child and a friend on Monday, June 15.
The letter describes the man as bald with a beard, wearing well-worn trainers.
It adds that the police have been informed and urges parents to be “extra vigilant”.
Sharon Tyler, headteacher at Springfield Primary, said: “We take the safety of our pupils very seriously and informed all parents following reports of a man acting suspiciously outside the school.
“While we would urg e pupils and their parents to be vigilant, this type of thing is extremely rare and believed t o be an isolated incident.”
