Leading law firm Prettys announces strong trading performance
Prettys, which has offices in Chelmsford and Ipswich, has announced a strong trading performance for 2014/15. The firm has declared a 13% increase in revenue for their year ended 30 April 2015.
Particularly strong performances were experienced in corporate, dispute resolution, employment and commercial property.
Ian Carr, Prettys CEO, said: “The end of the financial year was a very busy period for the firm across all disciplines and the results are very satisfying, reflecting the hard work put in by the teams.
"The outcome exceeded our expectations and outperforms the majority of other firms in the sector’.
Carr added: “We have finalised our budget for the current year and forecasting further substantial growth for the current year, supported by the energy and enthusiasm from our people and also the increasingly buoyant market place.”
Prettys continues to fulfil its expansion goals, both financially and on a personnel level, with particular focus in the commercial property, corporate, dispute resolution and residential conveyancing markets as a result of increased work levels.
Over the last year the firm has successfully completed several major commercial projects including the complex purchase of an award winning concert hall, retail and residential development and the purchase, by Maritime Transport, of Roadways Container Logistics – the UK’s fourth largest container haulier.
The deal included a total acquisition of assets including 374 employees and 221 vehicles in the multi-site transaction.
