HUNDREDS of years after the Ruthless Romans, Savage Saxons and Vicious Vikings stormed ashore in Britain, audiences can relive the action in two truly horrible stage shows.

Horrible Histories is bringing its own inimitable style to Chelmsford in two shows, Groovy Greeks and Incredible Invaders, at the Civic Theatre, between Tuesday, October 20, and Saturday, October 24.

Groovy Greeks takes audiences from savage Sparta to angry Athens to discover the truth about growing up in Greece.

Audience members can meet their match with the Minotaur and be zapped by Zeus, as they gatecrash the Groovy Greeks.

The show includes taking on the Trojans, pummeling the Persians and taking part in the first Greek play.

In Incredible Invaders, the Celts are crunched when the Ruthless Romans invade Britain.

Tickets are available from £15.

A Horrible History session will also be held at Chelmsford Museum on Saturday, October 24.
