A SINGER has organised a charity concert this Saturday to pay for medical treatment foradisabled little girl after discovering her love of music.

Holly Putt, 17, of Plantation Road, Boreham, hopes a concert at Boreham Church will raise as much money as possible to help pay for seven-year-old Ava Chaplin to continue to travel to the Adeli Medical Centre in Slovakia.

At the centre Ava, who is blind and suffers from cerebral palsy, complex epilepsy and seizures, has access to care and physiotherapy which drastically improves her quality of life – but costs £6,000 a visit.

Holly said: “Music is a key part of therapy for Ava, bringing something she can relate and connect to, calm and distraction.

“Ava is truly exceptional and I feel privileged to be able to perform for her with many other talented musicians.

“She is a beautiful, care-free spirited child and I’m organising this concert to ensure Ava continues to receive this treatment but to also enjoy the musical delights of the evening.”

Ava’s mum, Liz Chaplin, 38, of Seabrook Gardens, Boreham, added: “We’re really excited about Holly's concert. Music has always meant so much to Ava.

“She literally feels music, it touches her very core and moves her like nothing else and we’ve seen it work miracles when she's been unwell.

“Ava has seen Holly perform live before and absolutely came alive so we are sure it will be a very special evening.”

The concert starts at 8pm with local musicians including saxophonist Jeffery Wilson, Boreham Choir, pianist Abbi Perrin, clarinetist Jane Sitch and musician Jemima Oakley.

Tickets on the door, adults (16+) £5, children £3. Please feel free to donate at: justgiving.com/avasadelidreams
