Chelmsford City Theatres are celebrating another record-breaking pantomime after Aladdin became the Civic Theatre's fastest selling panto ever.

With tickets selling out by the opening, Aladdin ran for 52 performances throughout December and into early January, welcoming over 25,000 people into the Civic Theatre to witness the festive magic.

Audience members of all ages joined in with the fun as they sang along to energetic pop songs, laughed along with silly Wishee Washee and friends, and were wowed by spectacular magic tricks as Aladdin flew over the stage on his magic carpet and the evil Abanazer appeared out of thin air to sit on his throne.

Those who were not successful in booking a ticket for Aladdin or those who simply can’t wait for the next pantomime can now rest easy, as tickets for the Civic Theatre’s 2016-17 pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, are now on sale.

Audience members are assured it is never too early to grab their tickets, as with the last two pantomimes selling out faster than ever and with tickets for Jack and the Beanstalk already disappearing, 2016 looks set to be another record-breaking year for pantomime at Chelmsford City Theatres.

The giant of a family pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk will run at the Civic Theatre from Friday, December 2 to Monday, January 2, 2017, with various show times and special performances available. Tickets are £22.00, £19.00 for concessions and £72.00 for a family ticket.

Schools rates are also available. To book tickets, call the Box Office on 01245 606505 or visit www.chelmsford.gov.uk/jack .
