Police have renewed an appeal for information about a burglary in which a Porsche Carrera and several high-value bicycles were stolen.

A garage in Braemar Avenue, Chelmsford, was broken into between 7pm on December 31 and 1.20am on January 1.

A Porsche Carrera car, seven high value bikes, a bike frame, numerous power tools and four alloy wheels were stolen.

The car was later recovered in Priors Close, Basildon, at about 2pm on January 2.

However the other items, and a pair of Porsche keys, remain outstanding.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who has been offered the items for sale or knows of their whereabouts.

The bikes are: a Cannondale Flash 2006-7; Cervelo; Litespeed 2013; Santa Cruz 5010 XT carbon 2014; Cannondale red system 6; Super V Cannondale frame; Cannondale F900 with a medium sized frame and pink handlebars.

The tools were: a Wizard site level in a black case; Stihl petrol disc cutter 12in; Draper Water pump box; electric Ryobi plane in a blue case; Stihl petrol small chainsaw; Evolution petrol wackerplate 12in; Fest multi-tool in a browny orange box; and a Pasloe second fix nail gun in orange box.
