HEROIC motorists helped saved a man’s life on Monday, by wrestling him to the ground as he threaten to jump off the top of the Army and Navy flyover in Chelmsford.
Eyewitnesses reported passing-by drivers kept him restrained on the ground, until police arrived and escorted him to safety, about 2.45pm.
One motorist, who wished not to be named, said: “They kept him restrained until police arrived.”
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Police were contacted at around 2.45pm on Monday, June 13 with reports of concern for the welfare of a man seen on top of the Army and Navy flyover in Chelmsford.”
