POLICE officers investigating an arson attack want to track down a man who boarded a train heading towards Essex.

City of London Police have issued two images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an incident which took place at Finsbury Circus at 10.20pm on Tuesday, May 2.

Police are trying to identify the man pictured as it is believed he may have information to assist the investigation.

He was seen to get on a train towards Shenfield from Liverpool Street station following the incident.

Detective Constable Yagmur Koz from City of London Police said: “Luckily no one was injured as a result of this fire but the consequences could have been a lot more serious. It is vitally important that we identify the person responsible as soon as possible.

“If you recognise this man, or have any information about what happened, please get in touch.”
