A CHELMSFORD student has won a prestigious prize from her university.

Rachel Stark, 26, was named Best Student in Sports Science by the University of Greenwich and received her award during her graduation ceremony at Rochester Cathedral in Kent.

The former Sandon School pupil, who is now studying for a masters in physiotherapy at the University of Essex, said: “I’m very happy my hard work has been recognised.

I’m excited about the opportunities this opens up for the future.”

Professor Martin Snowden, pro vice-chancellor at the University of Greenwich, said: “There is great competition among our talented students to be selected for a special award and I am delighted Rachel’s hard work and dedication has been richly rewarded.”
