MEDICAL kits donated to a voluntary organisation by a Chelmsford law firm have helped to save someone’s life.
Birkett Long, which is based at Faviell House in Coval Wells, and also has offices in Basildon and Colchester, gave six kits to Essex Search and Rescue (Essex SAR), which is called upon about 70 times a year to find missing vulnerable people.
Helena Goodwin, a Community First Responder with EssexSAR, said they couldn’t reveal the person’s identity, but “if we hadn’t found them and had not had the new first aid kits with us, they wouldn’t be here today”.
She added: “We can’t thank Birkett Long enough. It costs us £12,000 to run annually, so every donation is vital.”
