Four deported after illegal immigration probe

FOUR illegal immigrants have been deported after they were arrested at their home in Chelmsford.

The men, from Pakistan, were arrested in a UK Border Agency raid at the address in Stansted Close, on June 26.

One of the men, a 28-year-old who was working in breach of his visitor’s visa, was removed on Wednesday, July 4 and the others, aged 25, 24 and 22, who all over-stayed their visas, were removed on July 8.

After their initial arrest two of the men were taken into UK Border Agency detention and two were released on immigration bail while arrangements for their removal were made.

Dave Butler, chief immigration officer, said: “We carry out regular raids in Essex and more are planned.

“The UK Border Agency is working hard to track down immigration offenders and we urge members of the public to get in touch with us if they have any information about suspected illegal immigrants or companies that are employing illegal workers.”
