Commuters travelling from Brentwood or Shenfield can now use Oyster Cards at both the stations.

Transport for London launched the scheme which has seen the installation of Oyster Card readers for Greater Anglia train services on Wednesday.

People travelling into London can now use the swipe card, which acts as a travelcard for all public transport in the capital, at both stations meaning they do not have to buy a separate ticket before being able to use Oyster services.

A single fare between Shenfield and Liverpool Street costs £8.30 during weekday peak hours of 6.30am to 9.30am and 4pm to 7pm, with the price dropping to £5.70 at all other times.
