DINOSAURS made from unwanted electrical goods will be on display at Brentwood Theatre today and tomorrow.
Steggy and Rita who are made out of recycled devices such as computer keyboards and TV remote controls from Essex County Council recycling centre are going to be at the theatre in Shenfield Road.
The sculptures have come as part of the volunteer-run theatre’s Bills Babes week, which has seen shows and activities aimed at children performed on the stage during half term.
A production called Pirates of Dinosaur Island is also being held at the theatre while the items are on display.
Kevin Bentley, county councillor responsible for waste and recycling, said he hopes the dinosaurs proved popular.
Mr Bentley said: “Nearly all of the materials from your unwanted electrical items can be recycled and used in new products.
“Taking them to your nearest recycling centre, bank or local amnesty event will also help to reduce the amount we send to landfill.”
Electrical items can be recycled at sites run by the county county across Essex.
