GOLFERS hit balls round a course to raise £3,500 for a Hutton-based care charity.
Staff from Sound Financial Group, in Basildon, organised a golf day to fundraise for Crossroads Care who help people caring for loved ones at home.
Players went round Canewdon’s Ballards Golf Course with a number of competitions on the day including a longest drive contest and a BMW on offer to anyone who got a hole in one.
George Froom, chairman of the charity, said: “It is very difficult to find words to express how much we appreciate the generosity of everyone at Sound Financial Group.
“This money is vital, absolutely vital, in helping us keep our care support services, which are helping thousands of people across our areas, going.”
