THE CHANCE to give a unsung hero from Brentwood the recognition they deserve has been given to residents.
Nomination lines are open for the annual Civic Awards organised by Brentwood Council which will be held on March 13.
Whether it is a volunteers at a charity, a sports club stalwart or someone who works with children, council officers want to hear your nominations.
Mayor of Brentwood Madeline Henwood said: "This is a chance to nominate those unsung heroes who may not usually get the credit they deserve for the work they do.
“I know that there are many deserving people who are eligible for these awards who I meet when I visit places as mayor."
To make a nomination either visit www.brentwood.gov.uk/civicaward or collect a form from the Town Hall reception desk in Ingrave Road.
