LIGHTS stayed on for a Brentwood slimmer when she met comedian and TV host Paddy McGuinness.

Marie Hyslop, who runs Slimming World clubs in Brentwood, got the chance to meet the Take Me Out presenter during the weight-loss group’s annual award ceremony.

Getting the chance to meet the comic at the event in Birmingham was the cherry on the cake for a good year according to Marie.

She said: “Obviously the most important thing of all is that our members have lost weight and improved their health throughout 2013 and we’re so proud of all of our members.

“Many of them have achieved their target weights and been able do things they never thought possible before slimming down.”
