VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help out at Brentwood Theatre as they start a new ticketing process.

Bosses at the Shenfield Road venue are looking for anyone who can spare a few hours during the week from September to help with sell tickets all day.

Later this month the theatre will switch to a new online booking system known as Ticketsource which will allow them to sell tickets 24/7.

As part of the move, they will need volunteers to help with the system with roles starting in September.

Theatre administrator Mark Reed said: “It will enable us to keep booking open right up until curtain up for every show, as well as letting people book and pay for future shows.

“We are looking to provide this service prior to every performance, starting an hour before curtain up.

“Once the show has started, there will be a few 'end of day' reports to be generated on Ticketsource, which we expect to take about 10 to 20 minutes to prepare.

“We will make it as straight forward as possible, and provide you with all the training you need.”
