PRIMARY school pupils have worked alongside a shop for an Easter-themed business task.

Staff from the Budgens store in High Street, Ingatestone, set the Year 5 class at Ingatestone and Fryerning Primary School a challenge to create and buy ingredients for Easter treats.

They will then be tasked with selling the items over the Easter holidays and when after coming back to school, the child who has performed best will be given a hamper full of baking ingredients.

Shop owner Paul Taylor, who set up the task, said: "The students will learn about profits and loss and how hard work can really pay off.

"Inspiring young people to start their own businesses is just one way that we help get the British economy back on its feet."
