BIZARRE world record attempts will be part of a entertaining pub crawl organised in Brentwood to celebrate St George's Day.

The event which has been organised by the Brentwood Brewing Company on Wednesday April 23 will see punters visiting five bars in the town.

On each stop, a different pub-themed game will be played by crawlers including beer pong.

On top of this, world records will be attempted at the Rising Sun, in Ongar Road, for the eating the most Weetabix.

Then to finish the event off, another world record will be attempted at the White Horse in Coxtie Green for eating pickled eggs.

The first stop will be at 3pm in the Swan on Brentwood High Street and a minibus will be leaving the firm's brewery in Pilgrims Hatch at 2.30pm.

Space is limited on the minibus and anyone interested in getting onboard is advised to call brewery staff.

People can alternatively meet the party at any of the pubs en-route.

After the Swan, the crawl will head to the Hutton Junction in Rayleigh Road at 4pm, the Rising Sun at 5pm, Old Brentwood's Rugby Club in Ashwells Lane at 6pm before going to the White Horse at 7pm.
