Members of Shenfield Operatic Society (SOS) are preparing for their biggest show yet and are on the lookout for ‘divas who believe!’

The group has recently been granted the rights to perform the hit West End musical Sister Act, becoming one of the first performing groups in the county to do so.

SOS is now seeking male and female talent to join them and have ‘fun with the nuns’.

A workshop will be held on Friday, July 11, at the St George’s Church, on Ongar Road, Brentwood, for potential new members.

SOS member James Sinclair, who’ll be directing the show, said: “Sister Act is set to be one of the biggest and most exciting shows that the society has done.

“There are so many talented people in this part of the country and it would be great to attract more members to this long-established society and for people to experience the magic of live theatre.”

As a fundraiser, the society are also staging a musical concert, ‘Bon Voyage’, tomorrow and Saturday (6 & 7th) at Blackmore Village Hall.
