A NUMBER of memorial services took place in Brentwood over the weekend and Monday to commemorate the centenary of the Great War.
Dignitaries including the Mayor of Brentwood attended the war memorial on Sunday to mark the occasion.
On Monday night Brentwood, along with towns throughout the UK, turned the lights out from 10pm and 11pm, to signal the time Britain declared war on Germany in 1914.
Brentwood Town Hall was just one of the major landmarks in the town to take part in the remembrance.
