Post Office face lift
THE Ongar Road Post Office is to get a major boost when a facelift will see it open for an extra 66 hours a month.
The renovation will provide an open-plan counter where the Post Office terminal will sit alongside the shop till.
The new layout will mean the Post Office will stay open for the same hours as the shop – 6am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 7am-10.30pm on a Sunday.
The Post Office section of the shop will close at 5.30pm on Tuesday, August 26, before reopening on Thursday, August 28 at 1pm to allow time for the refit.
