A MAN thought to have been hit by a vehicle in Ingatestone was left on the floor in a confused state.

A passer-by came across the 59-year-old in Ingatestone High Street at around 2.25pm on Tuesday, September 16.

It is thought the man was struck by the wing mirror of a passing vehicle at the High Street's junction with Station Lane.

The man suffered back and neck injuries and was taken to Broomfield Hospital by ambulance. He has since been released, however.

Police have been making enquiries in the local area but remain unsure as to what happened and are appealing for witnesses.
