A BUSINESS owner who only set up her brand five months ago is celebrating after being crowned best young entrepreneur in a national competition.

Billie Tuncer, 24, inset, from Brentwood, set up Billie x Shoes in May with a budget of £5,000 savings, designing her own website, and purchasing stock.

Celebrities from the likes of the Only Way is Essex have been spotted in Billie’s shop, browsing the goods on offer.

As part of her prize, which was awarded at the Kalixa Pro Spirit of Small Business Awards, Billie will get mentoring sessions with judge and businesswoman Michelle Mone, who owns international lingerie company Ultimo.

As part of the business support package being awarded, Billie’s business will also receive a cash injection of £1,000.

Billie said: “I am a great aspirant to the younger generation who are thinking about setting up their own business.

“I can also show skills in being able to produce a website with product images and run all my social media accounts with such a small budget.

“I would love to be a spokesperson for the younger generation to help them achieve their dreams, with their business ideas and guide them through the process offering advice.”
