FROM magical Christmas Grottos to seasonal markets and enchanting festive trails, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Essex Country Parks this Christmas.
Take a trip to Weald Country Park for a traditional Father Christmas Grotto. Check out the Christmas mini-market at Weald and browse the seasonal stalls and feed Father Christmas’s fallow deer before meeting the big man himself when he makes a special visit.
Those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season can pop down to Danbury Country Park and experience a traditional Mid-Winter festival and learn all about the origins of our modern day Christmas traditions.
Councillor Roger Hirst, in charge of communities, said: “Christmas is an exciting time to visit our Country Parks. Whether you are looking for a Father Christmas grotto for the children to enjoy or a seasonal trail to follow whilst taking in the beauty of the Essex countryside, you are sure of a great day out and it’s good value for money!”
